What if I want to return something?
We aim to offer high quality goods and a prompt and efficient service. However we do acknowledge that there are instances when the goods you ordered are not exactly what you expected. In this event we are happy for the item to be returned. If this is the case the information, below, will guide you through our returns policy.
  1. Under United Kingdom Regulations you have the right to cancel the contract for purchase of goods within seven days following the date of delivery. You must notify us of your intention to return any goods, via your on-line account, within this timescale .

  2. Should you choose to cancel your order you should return the goods, at your own expense. If you prefer the goods can be collected from you with a deduction being made from your refund to cover the full cost of collection.

  3. If you request a refund then this will be made within 30 days of cancellation.

  4. Once items have entered the delivery process you will not be able to cancel the contract for any services that have been provided by Scotch Corner Limited, such as gift-wrapping.

  5. Notification of faulty goods should be made, via your on-line account, within seven days of the goods being received. All goods supplied by us are subject to manufacturing tolerances and are warranted as being suitable for the purpose for which they are designed, under fair conditions. Under this warranty we will issue a refund against goods acknowledged by us to be faulty, providing such faults have not be caused by your misuse, negligent handling or improper care of the goods.

  6. Inspect any received package thoroughly before accepting/signing for it. If the package appears to have suffered shipping damage, keep the original shipping carton, promptly contact the shipping company for a damage inspection report and request that the shipping company return the merchandise. Under these circumstances, do not return the merchandise yourself.

  7. All goods returned are at the sender's expense. A refund of shipping costs will be made only if the return is a result of our error or if the goods supplied are shown to be faulty.

  8. Where goods are returned for exchange, other than where the original goods are shown to be faulty, we reserve the right to make a handling charge to cover processing of the return and shipment of the replacement.

  9. If you do need to return any goods, please remember to wrap the package securely as it may not be possible to offer a refund or replacement on goods which are damaged during return transit, and send it to:

    You must mark your parcel clearly as "Returned Goods" and must include the delivery note that was shipped with your order and indicate clearly the reason for return.

  10. If you are returning an item and requesting a replacement, please notify us of your requirements in advance of the return, via your on-line account, in order that we can have a replacement ready to send to you on receipt of the returned goods.

  11. For your protection we recommend that you use the Royal Mail "Signed For" delivery service as we cannot offer refund or replacement for any goods that are lost in return shipment to Scotch Corner Limited.

  12. Please Note: We cannot provide a refund or replace any personalised goods or any items made specifically to fulfil your order, for example kilts and wedding rings. Therefore, when ordering items which will be made or tailored to your requirements, please ensure that you provide all of the information requested on the website and ensure that the information you give is correct and accurate. If you are returning faulty goods, then point 3 of the returns policy applies.

  13. Please note that, for reasons of hygiene, we cannot provide a refund or replace earrings, headwear or items of body jewellery unless the return is a result of our error or if the goods supplied are shown to be faulty.

  14. All disputes will be settled under Scottish Law.

  15. This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
