International Deliveries
For International Deliveries goods are forwarded by Airmail from the Royal Mail or by international carrier. Typically items are delivered within 3-5 days from posting to destinations within the EEC. Other European destinations can typically take 5-7 days from posting. Deliveries to the USA typically take 6 days from posting. Deliveries to other international destinations typically take up to 8 days.
The delivery times shown above reflect the time it takes for the package to travel from our warehouse to your door. Typically you should allow 10-14 days for an order to be dispatched from our warehouse, longer at busy periods. Where delivery is expected to take in excess of 28 days, in addition to the information provided prior to order placement which can be found on the web site, you will be advised via your on-line Customer Account and given the opportunity to amend or cancel your order. Due to the nature of some of the items available through the stores, some items being available in limited edition or made to order, it is not possible to guarantee delivery times on any items. Made to order items include kilts, customised gifts, 14 carat, 18 carat and white gold jewellery and delivery times will be notified via your on-line customer account. If you choose to cancel an order, a refund, in line with our refunds policy detailed on the web site, will be offered. Scotch Corner Limited can take no responsibility for delays caused during shipping, once the goods have left our warehouse.
Security
For bespoke items, typically highland dress and gold jewellery items and for orders in excess of £200, you may be asked to provide a signature before dispatch of your order. In this way we can arrange for the delivery to be signed for on receipt and confirm that the acceptance signature matches the customer signature. This is to protect both parties from fraudulent transactions. If a signature is required you will be notified via your on-line account.
Customs & V.A.T.
For goods supplied to European Union Countries, V.A.T. (Value Added Tax) at the UK rate of 17.5% is included in the cost of your goods. If you are ordering from countries outside the European Union the V.A.T. will not be added to your bill.
