At an Awards Dinner, held in The Scottish Parliament Buildings in Edinburgh,
Scotch Corner's excellence in e-commerce was once again recognised and
rewarded.
The awards were organised by InterForum, a not-for-profit organisation that
helps British businesses to trade electronically. The activities of
InterForum are shaped and determined by some of the best-known and most
influential companies in the UK. Members of InterForum's governing Charter
and Business Councils are drawn from suppliers and users of information and
communications technologies. This framework guarantees InterForum a unique
authority in driving and shaping best practice in the business use of new
technologies.
The Awards are part of the Information Society Initiative, a programme run
by the UK Government Department of Trade and Industry, which promotes the
use of new technology in business.The Awards dinner itself was sponsored by
ICL.
Karen Birch, the Managing Director of Scotch Corner Limited, said
"We are always delighted to have our business and our on-line stores
recognised in this way. The quality and number of entrants and the
acknowledged expertise of the panel of judges makes this award even more
pleasing. Everyone at Scotch Corner works extremely hard to assure the

Winners at the Web
The Scotch Corner suite of Internet stores has been recognised at the
prestigious Winners At The Web Awards.
The awards, held at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow and sponsored by both Scottish
Enterprise and major Internet companies such as Compaq, reward excellence in
business and application of best practice in information technology.
From hundreds of entries from across Scotland, Scotch Corner achieved
significant success, receiving our award for excellence in e-commerce from
Lord MacDonald of Tradeston.
